# Set up Boomplay
URL: https://musicapi.com/docs/connect-users/configure-boomplay.md

> Boomplay API access needs an agreement with Boomplay. What you need, the redirect URI, and the Boomplay limits.

Product: MusicAPI Core and MusicAPI Managed Transfers. Section: Connect your users.

> **Managed integration:** A `transferring` sign-up gets copies of the integrations that MusicAPI runs. When your **Integrations** page already lists Boomplay, users can sign in with no setup on your side.

## What you need from Boomplay

Boomplay has no open developer program. Access needs a developer agreement with Boomplay: [contact Boomplay](https://www.boomplay.com/contact-us/) directly. With the agreement you get:

| Boomplay value | MusicAPI field |
| -------------- | -------------- |
| Client ID      | Client ID      |
| Client Secret  | Client Secret  |

## Redirect URI

```url
https://api.musicapi.com/callback/boomplay
```

## Add it to MusicAPI

1. Open **Integrations** in the dashboard and pick Boomplay.
2. Paste the Client ID and the Client Secret, and save.
3. Turn **Is Enabled** on.
4. Press **Test Boomplay** and sign in once.

## Quirks

- Boomplay returns owned and liked playlists from two sources. MusicAPI joins them, so the list of playlists has no reliable order.
- You cannot delete a playlist, reorder its tracks, or remove liked tracks.
- Boomplay has no followed artists in the API.
- Boomplay gives no user email and no user country.
- At most 50 items per page (`limitParam`).
