Set up Boomplay

Boomplay API access needs an agreement with Boomplay. What you need, the redirect URI, and the Boomplay limits.

What you need from Boomplay

Boomplay has no open developer program. Access needs a developer agreement with Boomplay: contact Boomplay directly. With the agreement you get:

Add it to MusicAPI

  1. Open Integrations in the dashboard and pick Boomplay.
  2. Paste the Client ID and the Client Secret, and save.
  3. Turn Is Enabled on.
  4. Press Test Boomplay and sign in once.

Quirks

  • Boomplay returns owned and liked playlists from two sources. MusicAPI joins them, so the list of playlists has no reliable order.
  • You cannot delete a playlist, reorder its tracks, or remove liked tracks.
  • Boomplay has no followed artists in the API.
  • Boomplay gives no user email and no user country.
  • At most 50 items per page (limitParam).
