What you need from SoundCloud

An application at SoundCloud for developers. Copy:

Redirect URI

SoundCloud stores only one redirect URI per app. Register exactly this one. Note the hyphen: it is not the integration type soundCloud.

Add it to MusicAPI

  1. Open Integrations in the dashboard and pick SoundCloud.
  2. Paste the Client ID and the Client Secret, and save.
  3. Turn Is Enabled on.
  4. Press Test SoundCloud and sign in once.

Quirks

  • SoundCloud has no saved albums.
  • Tracks can carry an ISRC, but the user search does not take one.
  • Many uploads exist only on SoundCloud, so a match into other services often fails for them.
  • SoundCloud gives no user email.
  • At most 50 items per page (limitParam), at most 500 tracks per playlist.
